John Tarnowski
Estimator, Project Coordinator
John has been with Vanskyline since its conception and has over 18 years of landscaping experience. Prior to landscaping John worked in commercial construction with carpentry, tower crane rigging, and spent 3 years as an apprentice electrician. Growing up working on a farm in Saskatchewan, John is not afraid of hard work and has excellent knowledge with heavy equipment.

Alex Kelman
Project Manager, Foreman
Alex has been with Vanskyline since 2015. He has worked his whole life in the construction industry and has a vast knowledge of building techniques and construction best practices. Originally from Ontario, Alex spent the early part of his career building playgrounds before moving to BC to work on the construction of a dam, the SkyTrain, and landscape construction.

Björn Irvine
Foreman, Hardscape Technician
Björn has been with Vanskyline since 2017 and previously worked in landscape construction and HVAC. He has exceptional attention to detail, a wealth of knowledge, and a level of hustle that most people only aspire to. Born and raised in BC, Björn is very familiar with west coast lifestyle, understands the importance of drainage, and has excellent design ideas.

Liam Hamilton
Hardscape Technician
Liam has been with Vanskyline since the beginning of 2025. Prior to working with Vanskyline, he worked doing commercial landscaping for 6 years. Liam is a go getter, not afraid of hard work, and loves learning new things. Born in BC, Liam moved to Alberta at a young age and eventually moved back to BC to enjoy the west coast again.
